YouTube Star Paul Harrell Announces His Own Death At 58 After Cancer Battle

YouTube star Paul Harrell wanted fans to hear about his passing directly from him. The online personality, known for his popular videos on firearm safety and reviews, died at age 58 following a battle with pancreatic cancer. He shared the sad news in a prerecorded video titled “I’m Dead” that published on Sept. 3, in which he revealed that his illness was progressing more quickly than he expected and his time left was “drawing short.” Paul documented his message back in December 2023 and explained that he’d given instructions to post the clip upon his death. The U.S. Army and Marine Corps veteran also went on to apologize to viewers for not being able to continue creating content. Paul’s brother later appeared on screen to confirm his loss, sharing that the goodbye had left him “heartbroken” and he intended to keep the channel going. Paul’s YouTube page had 1.2 million subscribers upon his death, and the final announcement drew more than 4 million views.
