Michelle Obama To Skip Donald Trump’s Inauguration After Also Missing Jimmy Carter’s Funeral

Michelle Obama has announced she will not be attending President-Elect Donald Trump’s inauguration. Former President Barack Obama as well as the other living presidents and their spouses are expected to attend. The office for Barack and Michelle put out a statement announcing the former first lady’s plans to skip the event. “Former President Barack Obama is confirmed to attend the 60th Inaugural Ceremonies. Former first lady Michelle Obama will not attend the upcoming inauguration.” The announcement comes after Michelle also did not attend former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral. No explanation was given for the former first lady’s absence from both events.
