Hannah Kobayashi Has Been Found Safe A Month After Voluntarily Vanishing
Hannah Kobayashi has been found safe a month after Los Angeles Police said she voluntarily went missing. “We are incredibly relieved and grateful that Hannah has been found safe,” her family wrote in a statement obtained by NBC News on Dec. 11. “This past month has been an unimaginable ordeal for our family, and we kindly ask for privacy as we take the time to heal and process everything we have been through. We want to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us during this difficult time. Your kindness and concern have meant the world to us,” the statement concluded. No other information has been released about when, where or how Hannah contacted her family. The 30-year-old was reported missing on Nov. 11 after she missed her connecting flight in Los Angeles to New York on Nov. 8. The Los Angeles Police Department later said they believe she missed her flight intentionally and determined that based on evidence they obtained, Hannah was seen entering Mexico alone with no foul play suspected. Authorities then classified her status as a “voluntary missing person.”
