‘Dance Moms: A New Era’ Sparks Outrage Over Routine Inspired By JonBenét Ramsey Murder
“Dance Moms: A New Era” has sparked outrage after one of the young dancers was assigned a routine inspired by the murder of JonBenét Ramsey. On the 8th episode of the Hulu series, dance teacher Gloria “Miss Glo” Hampton, assigned 11-year-old Ashlan to perform the solo routine. JonBenét’s tragic story swept the nation in 1996 when the former pageant princess was found strangled to death in her Colorado home at just 6 years old. Ashlan ended the dance number by placing her hands around her neck in a choking gesture. Access Hollywood has reached out to Hulu for comment.
