Bob Newhart Remembered By Kaley Cuoco, Jamie Lee Curtis & More Pay After His Death

Hollywood is mourning the loss of a TV and comedy legend Bob Newhart who died on July 18 at age 94, Access Hollywood has learned. The actor’s publicist, Jerry Digney, confirmed the sad news in a lengthy statement to Access, noting that Newhart passed away in his Los Angeles home. An official cause of death has yet to be made public, but he suffered “a series of short illnesses,” per Digney.Newhart has been a beloved entertainment icon who starred in multiple sitcoms including ’70s staple “The Bob Newhart Show” and its follow-up “Newhart.” He notably won his first Emmy in 2013 for a guest-starring role on “The Big Bang Theory” and had a memorable turn in the classic Will Ferrell holiday movie “Elf.” He was also awarded the Kennedy Center’s Mark Twain prize for American Humor in 2006.
