Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles & Rebeca Andrade Make History At 2024 Paris Olympics With Podium Finish

Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles and Rebeca Andrade made Olympics history at the Women’s Gymnastics Floor Finals after they all finished on the podium. Their victory marked the first time in Olympics history that a gymnastics podium had been made up entirely by Black athletes. In the floor final on Monday, Aug. 5, Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade won the gold, while Team USA’s Simone Biles took home the silver and Jordan Chiles took home the bronze. The win was also extra special for Rebeca—it was her first gold medal of the Paris Olympics and officially made her the most decorated Brazilian Olympian with a total of six Olympic medals. While stepping onto the podium Simone and Jordan made sure to give Rebeca her flowers, as they bowed down to pay homage to the 25-year-old gymnast.
