Rob Schneider Apologizes To Daughter Elle King After She Calls Him ‘Toxic’: ‘I Love You Completely’
Rob Schneider is making amends. The actor spoke out after his daughter, singer Elle King, called him “toxic” while reflecting on her childhood on a recent episode of Bunnie XO’s “Dumb Blonde” podcast. Rob, 60, broke his silence in an interview with Tucker Carlson published on Aug. 14, apologizing to Elle, 35, and noting the regrets he has about his earlier parenting. “I just want to tell my daughter, Elle, I love you, and I wish I was the father in my 20s that you needed and clearly I wasn’t and I hope you can forgive me for my shortcomings,” he said. “I love you completely. I love you entirely. And I just want you to be well and happy with you and your beautiful baby, Lucky.” Elle had claimed that Rob sent to her to “fat camp” in her youth and routinely forgot her birthday, further alleging that she would get in “trouble” if she caused any distraction on one of his movie sets and often felt “lost in the shuffle.” Rob did not directly acknowledge any of Elle’s claims but said he doesn’t take her perspective personally and hopes she can “heal from this.”
