Zac Efron Says Matthew Perry Taught Him Everything He Knows About Comedy

Zac Efron and Jeremy Allen White created a special bond on the set of “The Iron Claw.” While chatting with Access Hollywood at the film’s Los Angeles premiere, the “High School Musical” alum talked about stage fighting with Jeremy on set. Now that the two are close, the 36-year-old revealed he would love to get a cameo on Jeremy’s hit show “The Bear.” “I’m working on that. Put in a good word,” he joked. “I’m definitely going to be trying Jeremy’s dishes,” he added. Plus, Zac touched on his close bond with the late Matthew Perry. “He really was a mentor and hero of mine. He taught me everything I know about comedy. In the time we spent together in ’17 Again’ he really made an impression. I don’t know, I hope he’s up there happy right now,” he said. “The Iron Claw” is out in theaters on Dec. 22.
