Tara Lipinski & Todd Kapostasy Welcome First Baby Via Surrogate: ‘I Dreamt About This For So Long’
Tara Lipinski is officially a mom! The Olympic gold medalist revealed to People in an interview published on Oct. 25 that she and her husband, Todd Kapostasy, have welcomed a baby girl named Georgie via surrogate. Tara shared her excitement for this new chapter of her life. “I dreamt about this for so long. A crying baby, sleepless nights. Even when I’m like, ‘Okay, take an hour nap,’ I’m almost too excited. I’m like, ‘She’s there. Just watch her a little longer.’ It’s the best tired I’ve ever been,” she told the mag. The former figure skater took to her Instagram on Oct. 3 to reveal the exciting news that she and Todd were expecting. The happy announcement followed Tara’s candid conversations about her fertility journey, which she has discussed during her and Todd’s podcast “Unexpecting.” During a September episode, Tara revealed how she found out their last baby, whom they had conceived naturally after five years of unsuccessful IVF treatments and multiple pregnancy losses, didn’t have a heartbeat.
