Serena Williams Reacts To Zendaya Recreating Her & Venus Williams’ Iconic Vogue Photo

Serena Williams loves that Zendaya recreated her and Venus Williams’ iconic Vogue photo from the ‘90s. “This was really iconic,” she told Access Hollywood at the premiere of “In the Arena: Serena Williams” at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival. “And the most iconic part, I wondered is this the same dress…were we at one time the same size? That’s kinda what I got from this,” she said laughing. Since retiring from tennis, Serena has stayed busy and in her latest project she looks back at her most meaningful Grand Slam appearances. For the sports legend, getting all those stories on tape was especially important for her now that she has two daughters. “That was the biggest thing when I was creating this documentary was the fact that my daughters would get to see it and have an opportunity to see this whole new side of me that maybe I won’t be able to explain thoroughly through stories,” she said. “To put all of this story on camera was a super huge motivation for me,” she added. “In the Arena: Serena Williams” premieres July 10 on ESPN+.
