Disney ‘Mulan’ Star Coco Lee Dies At Age 48

Hollywood is mourning the death of singer and songwriter Coco Lee, who died at the age of 48. Her sisters, Carol and Nancy Lee, confirmed her passing on Instagram and Facebook on Wednesday, stating that she died in the hospital days after she attempted suicide. “Coco had been suffering from depression for a few years but her condition deteriorated drastically over the last few months,” her sisters said in a statement. “Although, CoCo sought professional help and did her best to fight depression, sadly that demon inside of her took the better of her.” The Hong Kong born actress had a career that spanned 30 years and included her voicing Disney princess Mulan in the Mandarin-language version of the film.
