The Oscar winner joined the social media platform on August 20, 2021 and quickly amassed more than a million followers in less than an hour. In her inaugural post, she shared a powerful letter from an Afghan girl. “To spend so much time and money, to have blood shed and lives lost only to come to this, is a failure almost impossible to understand. Watching for decades how Afghan refugees…are treated like a burden is also sickening,” Angelina wrote.
