‘Teen Wolf’ Star Tyler Hoechlin No Longer Series Regular

Prepare yourself – there will be a lot less Derek Hale on MTV’s “Teen Wolf.”

Tyler Hoechlin will not be a series regular when the show returns for Season 5.

The show’s executive producer Jeff Davis revealed the news – that is sure to break the hearts of the rabid fan base – at the “Teen Wolf” PaleyFest panel on Wednesday explaining that the actor was going to focus on feature films.

But, Derek isn’t saying goodbye to Beacon Hills completely.

Tyler will appear on the big screen in Richard Linklater’s ’80s-set college movie “That’s What I’m Talking About,” due out later this year.

“Teen Wolf” Season 5 debuts in June.
