Nicole Kidman & Zoe Saldaña Detail Intense ‘Lioness’ Military Training & Their Special Bond

Nicole Kidman and Zoe Saldaña sat down with Access Hollywood to talk about the second season of their military thriller “Lioness.” The A-listers gushed about their special connection they formed while working on the film.

Admitting to being both Geminis and left-handed, the starlets explained they have a lot more in common.

“We’re very committed to, our work. But mostly we’re committed to our families. And so we never run out of things to talk about and learn from each other,” gushes Saldaña.

“We share a makeup trailer. So we’ve gotten to know each other so well. And then we also, you know, obviously text and talk and it was just meant to be,” agreed Kidman.

Saldaña also detailed training with former military members to get in shape for the role.

“On a daily basis we were carrying at least 50 pounds of equipment in the summer in Texas because that’s where we shot. but it was incredibly rewarding when we were able to pull it off,” she explained.

Kidman also talked about working on the sequel for her 1998 film “Practical Magic” with Sandra Bullock and reflected on the iconic midnight margaritas scene.

“That it was so fun. And that we were, we had no idea how that was going to have its own life, beyond the release of the film and the way in which its garnered such, a following and support,” she recalled.

 “Lioness” Season 2 drops Sunday, Oct. 27 on Paramount+.
