Nancy Grace is known for her signature ‘do – the blond bob with bangs – but the carefully crafted coiffure was recently the subject of a dig on “Glee” when Kurt Hummel (played by Chris Colfer) said he’d like to give the 51-year-old “Dancing with the Stars” contestant a makeover.
So, did the former prosecutor-turned-cable newscaster object to the idea with her trademark toughness?
“I would totally accept a makeover from a ‘Glee’ character,” Nancy told Access Hollywood at Variety’s Third Annual Power of Women Luncheon in Beverly Hills on Friday. “Come on!” “I challenge you to a makeover,” she continued, looking daringly into Access’ camera. “Do me!”
Did you hear that, Ryan Murphy?!
Beyond “Glee,” the HLN host got a confidence boost this week after her “Dancing” debut performance (the cha cha, with professional partner Tristan MacManus) earned her the chance to continue on to week two for another shot at mirrorball glory – an opportunity she told Access she’s not taking lightly.
“After the cha cha I feel like I can do anything,” she said. “As soon as I get out of here I’m going straight to practice to work on my quickstep!”
Nancy added that although she’s experiencing the infamous “Dancing” wear and tear on her body, she’s getting used to the aching dogs and is learning to push through the discomfort.
“I’m in a lot of pain – especially my feet,” she told Access. “But it gets better every day.
“And I’m actually starting to understand what my partner is saying!” she added with laugh, referencing Tristan’s strong Irish accent. “I think that’s going to help a lot.”
Catch Nancy and Tristan’s quickstep on “Dancing with the Stars – Monday on ABC.
