Tony Bennett’s Wife Susan Remembers Late Husband’s ‘Wonderful Soul’ & ‘Thoughtful Demeanor’
The wife of the late Tony Bennett is sharing a touching tribute to her love in the wake of his passing. The “I Left My Heart In San Francisco” singer died on Friday at the age of 96. On Sunday, Susan Benedetto, his wife of more than sixteen years, reflected on her beloved husband. She shared a photo of Tony in Italy on their honeymoon with People and exclusively told the outlet in part, “Tony, naturally, loved visiting his ancestral homeland, and we spent many summers in Italy over the years, and it was always a special time for us to be together, just the two of us. Tony would paint all day, and then we would eat pasta, which was his favorite meal.” She added that Tony had a “thoughtful demeanor,” and said, “Everyone knows Tony had heart, but he also was a wonderful soul.”
