Simone Biles Jokes Husband Jonathan Owens is ‘Nicer’ Than Her On Competition Days

Simone Biles is trading in the balance beam for the red carpet! On Wednesday, Oct. 24, the acclaimed athlete chatted with Access Hollywood at the premiere of her upcoming Netflix documentary, “Simone Biles Rising: Part 2,” which takes fans behind the scenes of her Paris Olympics experience. Speaking alongside her family, the gold medalist, who stunned in a mesh gown by Galia Lahav, explained what audiences can expect. “I think it’s still the same kind of a perspective from being on the floor and through my eyes and what I went through. So, I think that’s pretty exciting because you get to see what everybody else films, but this is personal film,” she said. The most decorated gymnast in American history also teased how her mood on competition days differs from that of her husband, Chicago Bears’ Jonathan Owens. “On his game days, he’s sweet – he gets into his groove. His looks a little bit different, but he’s nicer than me,” she said. Plus, Simone revealed if she’s had a chance to bond with Taylor Swift, who has been supporting boyfriend Travis Kelce at Kansas City Chiefs games. “No, I’m currently on tour, so unfortunately not. I’ve missed a lot of games. As soon as we finished tour, then yes. But you usually don’t bond with opponents,” she joked. “Simone Biles Rising: Part 2” premieres on Netflix Oct. 25.
