Selma Blair Reflects Working with Reese Witherspoon, Sarah Michelle Gellar On ‘Cruel Intentions’
The powerful women in Hollywood are out to celebrate one another! Access Hollywood chatted with Selma Blair on Nov. 19 at the 2024 Elle Women in Hollywood, where she reflected on working with talented actresses Reese Witherspoon and Sarah Michelle Gellar during their 1999 hit film, “Cruel Intentions.” “I had been so besotted with Reese Witherspoon, you know, since ‘Man in the Moon,’ and even though I was playing younger than all of them, it truly felt authentically Cecile because I was so gobsmacked at their star power for a young girl,” she said, adding, “I mean, Sarah Michelle and Reese and Ryan [Phillippe], they were amazing. And Christine Baranski, I mean, all of it. I was so I was so in love with that movie and that director, all of it.” She added that her favorite memory she cherishes was the kiss with Sarah Michelle before revealing she’ll be tuned into the reboot. The actress also gushed over her 13-year-old son, Arthur, who she recently documented riding on a dirt bike. “I am so proud of him. And there was like a moment where the grades were going because he was like so sociable and I’m so shocked he pulled the grades up. He did it all, I’m like ‘okay, he’s doing this!’ I’m really proud of him.” 2024 ELLE Women in Hollywood Celebration, issue on newsstands nationwide on December 3, 2024.
