Sean “Diddy” Combs was back in a New York court today where he pleaded not guilty to new charges of forced labor and threatening employees who did not assist in his alleged sex-trafficking scheme. The hip-hop mogul appeared in the closed Manhattan courtroom with gray hair and a gray beard, which reportedly left onlookers stunned. Legal expert and trial attorney Misty Marris breaks down the impact of the proceedings, as Combs’ May trial approaches. Combs previously pleaded not guilty to charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. Ahead of the hearing, Combs’ lawyers made stunning claims about the damning CNN surveillance video that appears to show Combs physically assaulting his former girlfriend, Cassie, at a Los Angeles hotel in 2016. In a letter to the judge, Combs’ team alleged that CNN sped up the footage to “make it falsely appear that the actions in the video are taking place faster than they are.” CNN denied the allegations in a statement to Access Hollywood, and Marris explains why she believes the prosecution had a good response.
