Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera, Hillary Clinton & More Stars Outraged Over ‘Barbie’ Oscars Snubs
Hollywood’s biggest stars are speaking out following “Barbie’s” Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie’s Oscars snubs. After Ryan Gosling snagged a Best Supporting Actor nomination for his role as Ken in the blockbuster movie, he showed his support for his co-star and the film’s director after they were left off the list in the Best Actress and Best Director categories, respectively. “But there is no Ken without Barbie, and there is no ‘Barbie’ movie without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, the two people most responsible for this history-making, globally celebrated film,” he shared in a statement with multiple outlets on Jan. 23. America Ferrera, who scored her first-ever Oscar nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category for her work on the film, also expressed her disappointment over Margot and Greta’s snubs while speaking with “Today” over the phone on Jan. 24. Michelle Yeoh, John Stamos and Hillary Clinton are among the other famous names who have all also shared their outrage over Margot and Greta’s Oscar omissions.
