Rihanna Steps Down As CEO Of Savage X Fenty, Will Remain In Leadership Role As Executive Chair
Rihanna is taking a step back from Savage X Fenty. The businesswoman announced she will step down as CEO of the lingerie brand in a statement to Vogue Business. “It’s been beautiful to see our vision for Savage X Fenty impact the industry at such an incredible magnitude over the last five years. This is just the beginning for us, and we’re going to continue to expand in ways that always connect with the consumer,” she said in the statement. As of June 26, Savage X Fenty will be headed by Hillary Super, former CEO at Anthropologie Group. “I’m so grateful and excited to welcome Hillary Super as our new CEO — she is a strong leader and is focused on taking the business to an even higher level,” Rihanna said in the statement. But just because she’s stepping down that doesn’t mean the Grammy winner is walking away from her business. Rihanna will still hold a leadership role in a new position as executive chair, per Vogue Business.
