Richard Simmons Makes Rare Statement On Pauly Shore Playing Him In Upcoming Biopic

Richard Simmons is not on board for an upcoming biopic about himself starring Pauly Shore. The fitness icon has been out of the public eye for years, but he recently took to Facebook to set the record straight on his feeling about the project. “I have never given my permission for this movie. So don’t believe everything you read,” he wrote in part. “I no longer have a manager, and I no longer have a publicist. I just try to live a quiet life and be peaceful.” Pauly, however, is hoping Richard will come around, telling Entertainment Weekly that he and the filmmakers plan on being respectful and “consistent” to Richard’s book.
