Regina King Shares How Late Son Ian’s Spirit Was With Her During Recent Photo Shoot
It was an emotional night for Regina King and her sister Raine at the premiere of the biopic “Shirley,” which tells the story of legendary political pioneer Shirley Chisolm. The film is dedicated to Regina’s late son Ian. At the premiere, she told Access Hollywood’s Scott Evans that she feels his spirit all the time – and her recent Harper’s Bazaar photoshoot is no different. “Ian’s favorite color is orange, and it always has been, ever since he was a little boy. That was one of the last shots of that set-up,” she said of the cover shoot. “I was actually in a red dress, and I was like, ‘I want to wear the orange,’ and the sun was setting, and Ian is there. Ian is there.” “Shirley” begins streaming on Netflix on March 22.
