Pigeon Steals The Show At 2023 Venice Film Festival With Unexpected Red Carpet Appearance

This pigeon is ready for its closeup! On Aug. 30, Venice Film Festival attendees were shocked when a bird unexpectedly walked the red carpet on opening night. The pigeon even seemed to strut its feathers as it struck poses for the cameras! Despite the ongoing actors and writers’ strikes, many A-listers are expected to attend this year’s event, including George and Amal Clooney. Adam Driver and Patrick Dempsey were spotted on Aug. 31 at the photocall for their highly anticipated film, “Ferrari.” SAG-AFTRA granted an interim waiver to members to attend the high profile event, which runs through Sept. 9, so film industry workers will not be crossing picket lines. Comcast, the corporation which owns our parent company NBCUniversal, is one of the entertainment companies represented by the AMPTP. Some employees of the NBC News Group are represented by SAG-AFTRA.
