NFL Reporter Doug Kyed’s Daughter, 2, Loses Cancer Battle: ‘We’re Completely Lost & Heartbroken’
The Boston Herald’s NFL reporter Doug Kyed is mourning the loss of his 2-year-old daughter following her battle with cancer. The journalist took to his Instagram on Jan. 22 to share that he and his wife Jen Cosby-Kyed’s daughter Hallie died from acute myeloid leukemia and passed “peacefully in her sleep” as they “held her hands in bed.” “We’re completely lost and heartbroken without Hallie. Our lives will never be the same. Hallie was a special kid, and she made a positive impact on so many people she met. We were lucky to be her parents, and Olivia was fortunate to have the best baby sister,” Doug penned alongside a carousel of photos. He continued in his caption by sharing sweet memories of Hallie. On Jan. 23, the reporter also posted a reel to his Instagram featuring photos and videos of his daughter. “Hallie Forever. I don’t know what I’ll do without you. We made sure you knew you were so loved. It’s been helpful to look at pictures and videos while I struggle to say goodbye. Her smile and laugh still make me so happy,” he wrote.
