Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have officially vacated their royal residence in the UK. “We can confirm that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have vacated Frogmore Cottage. The Duke and Duchess have repaid the expenditure incurred by the Sovereign Grant in relation to the renovation of Frogmore Cottage, thus leaving the Crown with a greatly enhanced asset,” Keeper of the Privy Purse Sir Michael Stevens said in recent briefings obtained by People magazine. Frogmore Cottage remained Meghan and Harry’s UK residence after they stepped down as senior working members of the royal family, although the pair have been living in California since 2020. The update comes months after news broke in March that the couple was asked to vacate the home. An Archewell Communications rep confirmed the news with a statement to NBC News that reads, “We can confirm The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been requested to vacate their residence at Frogmore Cottage.”
