Mario Lopez Explains Why He Got Teary Eyed While Receiving Star On Hollywood Walk of Fame

Mario Lopez got one of the best birthday gifts on Oct. 10! The Access Hollywood host received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on his 51st birthday. The star was a long-time coming for the actor and he got emotional while giving his speech on stage. After getting the honor he reflected on his journey and explained why he almost broke down in tears while talking to Access’ Zuri Hall. “I was just thinking back how fast everything went back since I was a kid, because it doesn’t feel that long. You know doing it 40 years it doesn’t feel that long at all,” he said. “To be here to have my star in front of my friend’s restaurant, him speaking, seeing my kids, seeing my parents. It was a little overwhelming,” he added. Mario also joked about having his star outside of Mark Wahlberg’s restaurant, Wahlburgers.
