Mandy Moore Claims She Got A Check For A Penny For ‘This Is Us’ Streaming Residuals

Mandy Moore is speaking out amid the SAG-AFTRA strike. While chatting with The Hollywood Reporter on the picket line at Disney on Tuesday, the 39-year-old revealed she’s received tiny checks from “This Is Us” residuals from the NBC show’s streaming deal with Hulu. “The residual issue is a huge issue,” she said. “We’re in incredibly fortunate positions as working actors having been on shows that found tremendous success in one way or another… but many actors in our position for years before us were able to live off of residuals or at least pay their bills,” she added. Mandy told the outlet she has made “very tiny, like 81-cent checks” from residuals from “This Is Us.” “I was talking with my business manager, who said he’s received a residual for a penny and two pennies,” she added. Access Hollywood has reached out to Disney, who owns Hulu, for comment. Comcast, the corporation which owns our parent company NBCUniversal, is one of the entertainment companies represented by the AMPTP. Some employees of the NBC News Group are represented by SAG-AFTRA.
