Lionel Richie Says Sofia Richie & Elliot Grainge Are ‘Perfect Together’

The competition is getting tough on “American Idol” and for Lionel Richie, it’s hard to see them go. “I know we have to eliminate. I know America is voting. Come on, I mean, it’s just, there is so much great talent,” he told Access Hollywood. Aside from “Idol” Lionel has a busy life at home! This weekend marked his daughter Sofia Richie’s first wedding anniversary with husband Elliot Grainge. While looking back at their wedding, Lionel told Access they are “just perfect together.” He also gushed over how his family is expanding now that Sofia is expecting her first child. “I’m really happy for them. I’m really happy for my little girl because I know that she’s very special. As all dad’s would say but that’s my little girl,” he said. “American Idol” airs Sunday and Monday nights at 8/7c on ABC.
