Lady Gaga Had Tony Bennett Draw One Of Her Tattoos: ‘So I Would Always Remember’

Lady Gaga revealed that Tony Bennett was the inspiration behind one of her tattoos. In 2014, the “Telephone” singer had her pal draw her ink. “I asked Tony to draw me a trumpet, and he sketched me Miles Davis’ trumpet. Then I had it tattooed with his last name, Benedetto, underneath. Just so I would always remember this time together,” she told People that same year. The powerhouse pair became close friends before the “I Left My Heart in San Francisco” musician died on Friday at age 96. They bonded in 2011 at a charity gala where she sang “Orange Colored Sky.” “Tony heard me sing it, and he asked to meet me. He said, ‘Do you want to do a jazz album together?’ I said, ‘Of course I do!’ We were fast friends,” Gaga told the outlet back in 2014. The duo later went on to make two jazz albums together.
