Kim Kardashian Jokingly Wonders If ‘O.J. Connection’ Could Get Her Out Of Jury Duty

Kim Kardashian is taking a playful swipe at one of her family’s more infamous ties. The reality star joked in a preview clip for an upcoming episode of Hulu’s “The Kardashians” that she may have found a way to avoid jury duty for her birthday week. “I feel like there’s some kind of O.J. connection that could get me out of jury duty,” she said, referencing disgraced football icon and accused murderer O.J. Simpson. “Ha! Just kidding!” she added with a laugh. Kim’s late father, lawyer Robert Kardashian, was a longtime friend of O.J.’s and served on his defense team as the athlete stood trial for the brutal 1994 killings of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ron Goldman. He was acquitted of all criminal charges and later found liable in a wrongful death civil lawsuit. Simpson died in April at age 76 following a battle with prostate cancer. Though Kim and her family have previously spoken about the tragedy and its aftermath at serious length, this isn’t the first time she’s poked fun at the situation. The SKIMS mogul made her “Saturday Night Live” hosting debut in 2021 and drew gasps for an O.J. punchline in her monologue.
