Katy Perry’s Daughter Daisy Beams As Singer Returns To Earth On All-Female Blue Origin Space Flight

Katy Perry had a heartfelt welcoming committee on hand upon her return to Earth. The music superstar kissed the ground after her 11-minute flight on Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket on April 14, and perhaps no one was happier to see her home safely than her 4-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove. The youngster, whom Katy shares with fiancé Orlando Bloom, was there to cheer on Katy as the singer traveled with the first all-female crew for Jeff Bezos’ aerospace company, and live footage captured Daisy beaming as her famous mom took to the stratosphere. Gayle King, Bezos’ fiancée Lauren Sanchez, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen, former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe and filmmaker Kerianne Flynn rounded out the passenger list and all the women appeared emotional about the experience afterward, with Katy sharing how her daughter was present thanks to a small daisy she kept with her on the trip. Gayle’s longtime best friend Oprah Winfrey also reflected on the moment and was seen tearing up as the rocket entered zero-gravity, and Gayle herself shared why the mission was an especially meaningful milestone for her.
