Katy Perry Looks Back On ‘Beautiful’ Experience As New Mom With Daughter Daisy: ‘Soak It All In’

The Top 24 contestants of “American Idol” Season 22 will be performing for America’s vote in Hawaii! Access Hollywood guest correspondent Emily Orozco spoke to host Ryan Seacrest and judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie at Disney’s Aulani Resort about the incredible competition this season and gushed over Tori Kelly and Jelly Roll joining as “Idol” mentors. They also shared their memories of visiting each other’s hometowns for the audition round and shared how it feels to have singers audition with their hit songs. Plus, Lionel reacted to his daughter Sofia expecting a baby, revealed the first song of his he’ll sing to the little one and gave his top parenting advice. Katy also shared her advice for new moms and shed light on her early months with daughter Daisy Dove. “Soak it all in. Preserve that moment. I had my daughter during COVID, which was terrifying but also beautiful, because it just got to be our little unit. I think pre-that would’ve been so many friends and family. I think that time is so special, you’ll never get it back,” she shared in part.
