Joseph Baena Opens Up About Being Bullied As A Kid For ‘Being Overweight’

Joseph Baena’s first major film role is hitting a sentimental chord for the actor. The 25-year-old chatted with People Magazine about his upcoming movie “Bully High” which, according to IMDb, follows a Muslim high school girl who is bullied for wearing a Hijab. The topic of bullying apparently hits close to home for Joseph. The “Dancing with the Stars” alum says his closest friends bullied him being overweight when he was younger. “It was my closest friends that were the ones that bullied me the most and made fun of me for being overweight and all these kinds of things,” he said.
