Johnny Wactor’s Co-Worker Anita Joy Recalls Trying To Save Him In His Final Moments

Johnny Wactor’s co-worker Anita Joy is speaking out about his shocking death. Anita worked with the “General Hospital” star at a bar in Downtown Los Angeles and was with him on May 25, when he was shot and killed. Now, in a sit-down interview with Access Hollywood, she is breaking down his final moments, revealing that they originally thought Johnny’s car was getting towed before realizing his catalytic converter was allegedly being stolen. “He steps in front of me, and I was standing at the back of the car and immediately, just with Johnny taking one step forward, immediately we just hear a shot,” Anita said admitting the incident “didn’t quite register at the time.” She then recalled trying to save the 37-year-old but said he was really struggling to communicate with her. “I had him right in my arms and he just was not responsive at that point,” she told Access. Anita also gave an update on Johnny’s memorial service and plans to host a run in his honor.
