John Krasinski Reveals How George Clooney Inspired Him To Be A Director
It turns out George Clooney knew John Krasinski would be a director before he realized it himself! “It is weird. He knew if before I did,” he told Access Hollywood’s Zuri Hall at the New York premiere of “IF,” a film he wrote and directed. “We were having dinner while we were shooting ‘Leatherheads’ and I remember he said this is where the cameras are going to be tomorrow, I’m going do this and this, and I went ‘Great why are you telling me’ and he said well ‘You’re not just going to be an actor, right, you’re going to direct one day,’ and I went ‘Of course I will,’ and now here we are,” John added. George was right, John has written and directed several projects since but “IF” may be the most personal to date! The 44-year-old old wrote and directed his upcoming film as a love letter to his two daughters, Hazel and Violet, whom he shares with wife Emily Blunt. While chatting with Access he revealed working on the project made him bond even more with his little girls. “IF” hits theaters May 17.
