Jerry Springer, Ryan O’Neal & More Late Stars Left Out In 2023 Emmys In Memoriam Segment
On television’s biggest night, the 75th Emmys ceremony paused to pay tribute to the stars we lost in 2023. Charlie Puth gave an emotional performance of his 2015 song, “See You Again,” as a slideshow played featuring photos late stars in the TV industry, including, Angus Cloud, Stephen “tWitch” Boss, Kirstie Alley, Leslie Jordan, Suzanne Somers and more. Charlie and husband-and-wife music duo The War and Treaty then sang “I’ll Be There for You” as they honored Matthew Perry. However, many late stars were left out this year, including Jerry Springer and Ryan O’Neal.
