Jenna Ortega Drops Out Of Upcoming ‘Scream’ Film Due To ‘Wednesday’ Schedule Conflict (Reports)
Jenna Ortega will reportedly not be reprising her role in the upcoming “Scream” film. On Wednesday, The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline reported that the star will not return as Tara Carpenter in “Scream VII” because of scheduling conflicts. The 21-year-old has a busy filming schedule for the second season of “Wednesday” and upcoming “Beetlejuice 2” film. The news comes one day after her co-star Melissa Barrera was reportedly let go from the franchise, according to Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. Deadline reported that Jenna’s departure is not related to Melissa’s exit. Sources told the outlets that Jenna’s exit was discussed before the SAG actor’s strike. Access Hollywood has reached out to representatives for Jenna and “Scream’s” studio, Spyglass, for comment.
