‘It Ends With Us’ Star Brandon Sklenar Breaks Silence Amid Alleged Cast Feud: ‘Move Beyond That’
“It Ends With Us” star Brandon Sklenar is speaking out. The actor took to Instagram on Tuesday, Aug. 20, to address criticism that has circled online amid the alleged drama between the movie’s cast, including Blake Lively, and co-star/director Justin Baldoni. “Colleen [Hoover] and the women of this cast stand for hope, perseverance, and for women choosing a better life for themselves,” Brandon began his lengthy statement, adding, “Vilifying the women who put so much of their heart and soul into making this film because they believe so strongly in its message seems counterproductive and detracts from what this film is about. It is, in fact, the opposite of the point.” Later in his statement, the 34-year-old spoke about how the movie is meant to make audiences feel, writing in part, “Ultimately it’s meant to spread love and awareness. It is not meant to once again, make the women the “bad guy,” let’s move beyond that together.” The actor concluded by asking people to think twice before spreading hate on the internet, calling for everyone to be a “part of something better together.” Within minutes of sharing his post, Brandon appeared to shut off the comment section.
