Glen Powell Says Friendship With Tom Cruise Is ‘Invaluable’: ‘He’s A Great Friend, Great Supporter’

It’s the summer of Glen Powell! The 35-year-old is starring in another major summer blockbuster with “Twisters” and the film holds a special place his heart because he adopted his dog Brisket while working on the project. “I adopted Brisket while we were on ‘Twisters’ and so really, this is a communal dog. This is a dog that the cast and everybody in Oklahoma embraced quite a bit,” he told Access Hollywood at the film’s Los Angeles premiere. Before starring in “Twisters,” Glen was in “Top Gun: Maverick” with Tom Cruise. The two have stayed in touch since the film wrapped and Tom even supported Glen at “Twisters” London premiere. While chatting with Access on July 11, Glen explained how much he values his friendship with the actor. “He’s a great friend, a great supporter. He’s been just a guy that’s changed my life in more ways than I can tell you and it’s just incredible,” he said. “I’m so grateful to be on this journey right now, you never really know where this journey is going to take you but to have someone who’s like kind of been through it just to rely on and ask questions to has been invaluable.” “Twisters” hits theaters July 19.
