Foo Fighters Will Donate Royalties to Kamala Harris After Donald Trump Rally Plays ‘My Hero’

The Foo Fighters are not fooling around. After former President Donald Trump used the band’s hit song “My Hero” at a recent rally to welcome Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a spokesperson for the band reportedly claimed Trump did not obtain permission to use it. “Foo Fighters were not asked permission and if they were, they would have not granted it,” the representative said in a statement to People and confirmed to the outlet that the band will donate the royalties of the song to Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign. However, the former president’s campaign is disputing the claim that they did not have permission. Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung claimed to news outlets that they have a license to play the song and took to ‘X’ to write, “It’s Times Like These facts matter, don’t be a Pretender. @foofighters.”
