Drew Barrymore Sounds Off After Man On Dating App Lied About Being NFL Quarterback: ‘I Hate You’

Drew Barrymore didn’t exactly score a touchdown on a recent dating app experience. The actress and TV host revealed on her daytime talk show this week that she was deceived when one potential suitor lied to her about his profession in a major way. “This guy on my dating app said he was the quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams. So I wrote to him and I was like, ‘Oh my God, I went to the first practice game. I was so frustrated being a girl from Los Angeles who loves football and we didn’t have any teams. And then I moved away to New York and then we got two teams. And it’s nice to meet you, my name is Drew,'” she recalled, before explaining that the man was actually not the Rams’ quarterback or even a professional athlete. “He’s a musician that thought he was being cute. How should I feel about this?” Drew added. The mom of two went on to explain that she was hurt and angry not because she was hoping to land a footballer specifically, but because she thought the two could have had a real connection based on common interests.
