Donald Trump Appears to Ignore Cheryl Hines After Greeting Her Husband RFK Jr. at UFC 314

A moment from President Donald Trump’s entrance into the UFC 314 in Miami has gone viral after he appeared to ignore Cheryl Hines, wife of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. In a video of the interaction, Trump was seen greeting RFK Jr. who was standing next to his wife. The “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star then extended her arm to shake hands with the president, but instead the 78-year-old walked away leaving the actress visibly puzzled. However, later in the evening the two did eventually interact, as another video posted to X showed Hines conversing with Trump who sat in the row in front of her. Though it’s unclear if the viral moment was intentional or accidental, Hines has previously expressed criticism towards Trump. In a January 2024 profile for “The Hollywood Reporter,” the actress condemned Trump’s previous disparaging comments about Sen. Ted Cruz’s wife Heidi’s appearance in 2016. “That’s so ridiculous and disrespectful that he would say something disrespectful about Ted Cruz’s wife. She has nothing to do with any of this. And I’m sure Ted Cruz will never forget that. Then cut to Trump as president and Ted Cruz couldn’t be happier,” she said at the time, adding, “Even when Trump was elected, I had to really have a long talk with myself because I thought, ‘I’m not going to make it through these four years.”
