Diddy’s Mother Defends Him In Rare Statement Amid Sex Trafficking Case: ‘Devastated’
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ mother is defending him amid his bombshell legal troubles. Janice Small Combs spoke out on the numerous disturbing allegations facing her famous son, sharing in a lengthy statement through her attorney on Oct. 6 why the situation has left her “devastated” and “profoundly saddened” as a mother. “It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the truth, but for a narrative created out of lies,” she claimed in part, adding, “To bear witness to what seems like a public lynching of my son before he’s had the opportunity to prove his innocence is a pain too unbearable to put into words.” Diddy is currently in federal custody awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty and was denied bail. The hip-hop mogul has also been named in multiple civil lawsuits alleging abuse and sexual misconduct, and attorney Tony Buzbee most recently announced additional impending litigation from 120 people accusing Diddy of sex crimes that allegedly date back to 1991. Erica Wolff, a lawyer for the rapper, responded to the newest development in a statement saying that her client “emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors.”
