David McCallum, Beloved ‘NCIS’ Star Who Played Ducky, Dies At Age 90
Hollywood is mourning the death of David McCallum, who died at the age of 90. The beloved “NCIS” star passed away peacefully on Monday of natural causes surrounded by family at New York Presbyterian Hospital, CBS announced in a statement. “We are deeply saddened by the passing of David McCallum and privileged that CBS was his home for so many years. David was a gifted actor and author, and beloved by many around the world,” the network wrote. David’s son, Peter McCallum, also released a statement on behalf of the family. “He was the kindest, coolest, most patient and loving father. He always put family before self,” Peter wrote. David is survived by his wife of 56 years, Katherine McCallum, his four kids and eight grandchildren. He was most known for his role as Illya Kuryakin on “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” and his portrayal of Donald “Ducky” Mallard on “NCIS.”
