Courteney Cox Honors Matthew Perry With Rare ‘Friends’ Outtake: ‘He Was Funny & He Was Kind’
It’s the one every “Friends” fan will always remember. Courteney Cox is looking back at a pivotal moment from her on and off-screen friendship with the late Matthew Perry. The actress spoke out on social media for the first time following the death of her longtime pal and co-star, sharing a rare outtake from a classic episode of the sitcom in which her and Matthew’s characters were revealed to be having a secret romance. But what viewers didn’t see at the time was how Matthew kept the laughs going on set! Courtney revealed in her Instagram caption how the actor put his own spin on the scene and why it’s just one of many memories she’ll cherish forever. “I am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day. When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share,” she wrote in part, explaining that the Emmy nominee had whispered a funny line for her to say to keep the audience on its toes. “He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind,” she added. Matthew was found dead in his Los Angeles home on Oct. 28 at 54 years old. Just hours before Courteney’s post, their “Friends” castmate Matt LeBlanc issued a similar tribute in Matthew’s honor.
