Cissy Houston, Mother Of Whitney Houston & Grammy-Winning Gospel Singer, Dead At 91
Cissy Houston, famed soul and gospel singer and mother of the late Whitney Houston, has died at the age of 91. Her daughter-in-law Pat Houston confirmed the news on Instagram on Monday, writing, “It saddens my heart to announce the passing of my beloved Queen Cissy Houston today! Please keep the Houston family in your prayers.” Pat told The Associated Press and People that Cissy died on Monday morning at her home in New Jersey while in hospice for Alzheimer’s disease.
