Céline Dion Pens Emotional Tribute To René Angélil On The 9-Year Anniversary Of His Death
Céline Dion is remembering her late husband, René Angélil. The singer penned a heartwarming tribute for the nine-year anniversary of his passing on Instagram on Jan. 14, alongside a photo of her sitting next to their three sons. “René, we can’t believe you’ve been gone nine years already,” she wrote. “Not a day goes by that we don’t feel your presence, RC, Eddy, Nelson and I. You were my greatest champion, my partner, and the one who always saw the best in me. I honor you and you are forever missed mon amour…. We love you. Céline.” In the photo, the Grammy winner and her three sons, 23-year-ols René-Charles and 14-year-old twins, Nelson and Eddy, match in coordinating cream ensembles. The couple first met in 1980 when Céline, who was 12 at the time, sang for René in an audition. He became her manager and ultimately started dating when she was 19. They married in 1994.
