50 Cent Claims He Turned Down $3 Million To Perform At Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden Rally

50 Cent is steering clear of politics. The rapper claimed in an interview with “The Breakfast Club” that he turned down $3 million from Donald Trump’s campaign to perform at the former president’s controversial Madison Square Garden rally last Sunday. 50 Cent explained to the hosts that he’s “afraid of politics.” He then referenced Kanye West’s extreme views getting him banned from certain venues in the U.S. and abroad. “It’s because when you do get involved in it, no matter how you feel, someone passionately disagrees with you,” he said, adding, “I stay way from religion. I stay away from politics…That’s the formula for the confusion that sent Kanye to Japan. He said something about both of those things — and now he can only go to Japan.” 50 also claimed that he was offered money to perform at the Republican National Convention over the summer, but did not disclose the alleged figure. Despite 50’s claims, the Trump campaign has reportedly denied offering him payment for a Madison Square Garden rally appearance. According to Variety, a campaign official did not provide any more details, and the rapper did also not answer when asked for a follow-up comment.
