Zac Efron Joins CIA In ‘Fire’

Zac Efron is about to become a special agent.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Zac has signed on to Universal’s “Fire,” based on the graphic novel by Brian Michael Bendis.

“Fire” follows the story of a college student who is selected to join a special CIA project that turns ordinary citizens into agents.

Bendis, who also writes for Marvel Comics, is slated to also pen the screenplay.

In addition to starring in the thriller, Zac is also attached to executive produce the film.

In more Zac casting news, according to Deadline Hollywood, the young actor has also signed a deal with Warner Brothers to star in a “Back To The Future”-like project that blends two projects. One is a concept from writers Tim Calpin and Kevin Jakubowski and the other is a movie, “Algorithm,” that “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” director Nick Stoller could possibly direct.

Next up, Zac will be seen in “The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud,” which is scheduled to hit theaters in June.
